Chippewa Valley LGBT Community Center to Hold Open House

by | Jan 16, 2017 | 0 comments

The Executive Board of the non-profit Chippewa Valley LGBT Community Center is pleased to announce the opening of their new offices in downtown Eau Claire.  Located in historic Banbury Place, the Center’s offices will continue to serve the needs of LGBTQ+ individuals and families in the Chippewa Valley region.  To mark this development, the Community Center will be holding an open house on February 2, 2017, to open its new office and seek feedback from the community on use of the new space.

Members of the Executive Board will be available from 9AM to 6PM to hear insights from the community and answer any questions the public may have.  The event will be held in the Gillette Room on the 4th floor of Banbury Place, Building D02, near our office in Suite 409.

Catering will be provided by Bijou Bistro of Eau Claire.  There is no cost for admission or food although we will be holding fundraisers at the event.

The Chippewa Valley LGBT Community Center (run by Chippewa Valley LGBTQ+) seeks to serve lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, genderqueer/gender non-conforming, queer/questioning, pansexual, asexual, intersex, non-binary, and all other individuals who are marginalised because of their gender and/or sexuality with a social space and resource center.  The Center promotes not only its own events and activities, but also other LGBTQ+ events and organizations in the greater Chippewa Valley region.  The Center’s main event is Chippewa Valley Pride, which will be held this year on June 10.

Contact information follows for anyone looking for information on the Open House, Chippewa Valley Pride, volunteering for the local LGBTQ+ community, or the Center in general.  We encourage contact via phone or web through our social media sites:
