Dane Buy Local to Acquire DANE Exclusive Deals
Two organizations come together to generate awareness for local businesses.

Dane Buy Local (DBL) has acquired the DANE Exclusive Deals brand, as a donation from Engaging Results Communications, in an initiative to make it easier for consumers to buy local. DANE Exclusive Deals is a local text message marketing program that allows consumers to receive local offers directly to their mobile devices, in an effort to shift more shopping to locally owned businesses.

“The acquisition of DANE Exclusive Deals perfectly complements our existing programs,” said DBL President, Colin Murray. “This service will help consumers buy local by providing access to local businesses right on their mobile devices.”

Dane Buy Local recognizes the increase of mobile device usage and the prevalence of SMS in regard to buying decisions. SMS text messaging is the fasting growing form of communication with 90% of texts being read in just three minutes. Consumers may opt in to receive messages by texting DANE to 30364 and have the opportunity to receive deals from the many existing businesses included in the Dane Buy Local community.*

DANE Exclusive Deals does not charge mobile users when delivering deals by text message and requires a one-time opt in message sent from any mobile device. Standard carrier rates may apply and consumers may opt out any time they wish.
