Explore your Wonder Body!
The broadly erotic terrain of Wonder Body can also become explicitly erotic. Just think of how the sense of proprioception might be applied to strap-on technology. Come explore all that and more in a dynamic presentation about the Wonder Body coloring book, the backstory of how it got created, and some of the challenges and pitfalls encountered along the way. Plus, we’ve got individual coloring pages and a giant 6’x6′ dry erase collective coloring mandala!
Alex Jade (writer) and Amy Butcher (illustrator) put together Wonder Body as part of their ongoing collaboration. Alex has been professionally exploring the sensate, energetic intelligence of our bodies for the past thirty years through massage, movement therapy, and social work focus on trauma and mental health. Alex is a student of classical Tantra, a parent, and has a deep regard for wildness. Amy Butcher is an artist, writer, facilitator, and liminal guide. She believes that play is the path to power and that the erotic is the juiciest form of play. With an MBA, M.Ed. in Social Justice Education, and diverse studies in experiential education, Amy is also an award winning author of the murder mystery Paws for Consideration.
Wonder Body: A Sophisticated Coloring Book for Curious Adults
Illustrated by Amy Butcher & Written by Alex Jade
Wake up and connect through this multi-faceted coloring exploration into how the body can sense, know, and receive pleasure.
- Exploration of 15 senses, 7 chakras, and 10 random pleasures
- Adult coloring book suitable for any age as it explores the broadly erotic (not specifically sexual)
- Playful, whimsical, unique, and educational created by two experienced experiential educators
Wonder Body is a multi-faceted exploration of the ways our bodies can sense, know, and receive pleasure. Through engaging text, expressive images, and the experience of coloring itself this unusual coloring book creates a rich, multi- modal, somatic experience of embodiment. Explorations begin with the senses (not just the big five), through the seven subtle energy centers, and then on to
a wide variety of unexpected portals of pleasure for the reader’s (or colorist’s) consideration. While coloring can be relaxing and meditative, now it can be enlivening too. The colorist will bring these pages to life, literally moving them from B&W to Technicolor. It’s an experiential adventure—using mind, body and curiosity—to discover all the potency of your Wonder Body!
