What does it mean to be young and transgender? Please join us for a community conversation to help increase awareness and understanding around this topic. There will be time for discussions, questions, and information you can take home as well.
We will do a reading of “I Am Jazz” by Jessica Herthel and Jazz Jennings, with a Q&A and discussion to follow. This event will also include short educational clips on what it means to be transgender and give attendees a chance to hear from transgender youth and their families through short videos.
This event is family friendly! We encourage all family and friends to join us. Registration is suggested by calling (608) 825-0702, or emailing sunref@sunlib.org.
Sun Prairie Public Library is dedicated to providing collaborative, safe spaces that are free from all forms of harassment and inclusive of all people. For this program we encourage healthy discussion, as well as listening to those whose viewpoints may be under-represented in a group, and to use welcoming language while staying alert to the wellbeing of those around you.
