AMERICA; The Borders Within is an exhibition by Madison photographer Rolando Cruz that delves into the artist’s notion of being, not only an “immigrant,” but also gay. The current work interrogates the themes on “undocumented” and the struggles of identity in the 21st century as a reflection of our own internal insecurities and the ill-perceived notion of belonging or feeling safe.
Opening reception on Friday, May 5 at 6:00 p.m., food and beverages served. Exhibit runs through May 7. The exhibit will be part of the MMoCA (Madison Museum of Contemporary Art) Madison Spring Gallery Night. The exhibit will be located at 341 State Street, next to the Gap store.
