Located just down the street from the Old Governor’s Residence, The Clarenbach House, at 123 W Gilman has been a cornerstone for progressive groups in Madison’s history. David Clarenbach, former State Representative, was driving force behind the passage and signing of AB70, the first state-wide Gay Rights law in the country. Historian Gary Tipler will present on the accomplishments of Clarenbach and subsequent groups that inspired positive change using the house as their home base. Our socials include a catered dinner starting at 6:00pm and the presentation will start at 6:30pm. A $10 contribution for the meal is requested ($5.00 for low income attendees).
