The Herbal Anthropology Project, 501(c)3, preserves and protects indigenous traditional medicine by directly collaborating with indigenous communities in the documentation of their traditional medicines. Herbal Anthropology Project will be having their launch party to fundraise and promote three upcoming projects; 1. “Misigiyo Maasai Project”, located in the Ngorongoro Highlands of northern Tanzania, to deliver the Misigyo Maasai Traditional Medicine book to their village, 2.. “Bongo Mzizi Project” in Tanga, Tanzania where we will be working alongside the late herbalist Bongo Mzizi’s son, patients and friends in attempts to document his HIV/AIDS remedies, 3. “Mongolia Project” where we will be planning the documentation of their traditional medicines with vulnerable indigenous communities.
We will be holding an indigenous inspired art auction with pieces donated by local artists, selling Bespoke global teas, and apothecary inspired cocktails.
