1/3 of the team behind IN TRAINING, Cleveland’s queer electronic music night, 216 native KIERNAN LAVEAUX has made a name for herself through her DJ sets and bookings that reflect the rustbelt environment she was birthed from. Inspired by her peers and a fateful night that gifted her the name KIERNAN LAVEAUX, she began DJing in 2015 after becoming an official part of IN TRAINING. She exists only to channel warmth and love to her friends and other transgender dancers through her DJ sets.

As 1/2 of Cleveland party Heaven is in You, adab puts heavy emphasis on seeking the unifying elements in the world and themselves through djing. Characterized often by their palette of sounds, they made a name for themselves in Cleveland spinning a variety of genres (house/techno/beats etc.) and venues alike. Having started djing dance music heavily as a result of finding Cleveland’s queer run techno party In Training and being a non binary black youth raised across a few states in the Rustbelt (IL/MICH/OH), they seek to unabashedly open up new understandings for both themselves and others…

We have rented the middle train car for this event, so capacity should not be an issue. That said, arrive early to ensure admission.

This event is BYOB. You are strongly suggested to provide your own supplemental beverages, within courtesy and reason. We will have plenty of water available.

Starts at 9, lights go on at 3. Door fee $10. All proceeds go to artists and space rental, profits beyond will be donated.

This is a safe space for all, and a private-public event open to all invited and their friends. Any randos engaging in behavior that disrupts the implied harmony of the space will be immediately ejected.
