The diversity & inclusion coordinator position has been a part of the City of Appleton staff since 1997.
November 13, from 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. at Appleton East High School, a public panel discussion will look at the work that has been accomplished by the position in it’s first 20 years, as well as the work that lies ahead.
Come out to meet the six men and women who have held the position, as well as our current diversity & inclusion coordinator. The town hall style event will share our past successes, outline today’s challenges, and candidly discuss why diversity and inclusion practices are good for Appleton.
The panel will be led by Dr. Shelton Goode, current executive director, diversity and inclusion/chief compliance officer with the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority. Dr. Goode also spend time in Wisconsin as the director of diversity and inclusion for Oshkosh Corp. from 2015 to earlier this year.
The evening will end with the unveiling of the dignity & respect campaign that will launch here in Appleton in the coming months.
