Join QLaw, the UW Law School’s LGBTQ+ student and ally group, for a night of food, drink, and dancing. We will also welcome Ron Albers, the first openly gay Judge to be appointed by a Republican Governor, and a UW alum. After all this, a Queer Pressure Collective DJ will be on hand to send us of into the rhythm of the night.
KEYNOTE SPEAKER: Wisconsin Law Alumnus Ronald E. Albers committed 41 years of legal service as a judge, commissioner, public defender, sole practitioner, and civil rights advocate. He was the first openly gay judge appointed by a republican governor. Albers was instrumental in creating San Francisco’s Community Justice Center, and was a founding board member of Bay Area Lawyers for Individual Freedom. Albers has compassionately advocated for improving defendant outcomes, especially for those experiencing mental illness or drug addiction.

$15 before event, $20 day of event. Food, beer/wine, keynote speaker, and dancing provided with ticket purchase. Proceeds from the event help support scholarship of LGBTQ+ students at University of Wisconsin Law.
