Transgender Day of Remembrance Candlelight Vigil

November 18, 2016 @ 9:00 pm - 10:00 pm

Type: Social

This event:
* Is LGBTQ hosted
* Has LGBTQ content
* May be of interest to the LGBTQ community

PLEASE NOTE: The listed start time for this event is not firm. The event starts immediately after the Trans Monologues and Gender Spectrum Open Mic Night. If you plan to attend the vigil, please attend the monologues beforehand! https://www.facebook.com/events/884911634977367/

At the monologues’ conclusion, the Mad City Sisters will lead a procession down to the Wisconsin State Capitol (weather permitting). We will gather at the head of State Street, in front of the statue of Lady Forward.

We will hand out candles and read the list of trans* people around the world who have been killed unlawfully in 2016. Please join us in offering up non-sectarian prayers to honor and bless the dead, and to call upon the power, wisdom, and courage of our mighty trans* dead in our own lives.

What is remembered, lives.
