Combat Blindness International’s World Sight Day Gala is an annual day of awareness to focus global attention on blindness and vision impairment. This year’s event is at the newly renovated Edgewater Hotel in Madison and we are thrilled that Lon Michels (www.lonmichelsart.com) will be our keynote speaker. Lon will tell his story of losing his sight in the span of just 15 minutes, navigating life and painting while blind, and then finally having his vision restored.
Guests will enjoy international foods, art by Lon Michels, music by Mandjou Mara, and silent auction items from our project countries.
Post-event party with Lon Michels 8:30-9:30pm includes champagne and dessert ($25 extra/person).
