Gallery I & II, PhotoMidwest Juried Exhibition

As part of the 2016 PhotoMidwest Biennial Festival, this exhibition juried by Larry Fink displays the work of over 40 Midwestern photographers and illustrates photography’s ability to both provide personal fulfillment and communicate values, ideas and emotions.

Gallery III, Diverse Nature: Gender & the Botanic: Tara Austin and Natalie Kirk

Exploring interpretations of gender, this exhibition reveals how cultures characterize nature. Tara Austin’s paintings depict the visual languages interpreted within floral patterns. Natalie Kirk’s photography opens dialogue about masculinity and femininity through contradictory messages in fashion and bodies.

Legends of Mexico City: Leticia Castillo and the Latino Art Fair

Castillo’s, winner of the 2015 Latino Art Fair, paintings present traditional Mexican myths about time, a place and folkloric dance.

Organized by the Latino Chamber of Commerce and hosted by Overture, the Latino Art Fair celebrates the richness of the Latino culture in Dane County. Over 25 artists will exhibit and sell their work.

Located in Overture Center for the Arts at 201 State Street, the Overture Galleries radiate off the Rotunda Lobby on three levels and the Playhouse Gallery is on the lower level across from The Playhouse Theater and adjacent to the Rotunda Stage.  Overture Galleries are free and open to the public Monday through Thursday from 9:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m., Friday from 9:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m., Saturday from 10:30 a.m. – 9:00 p.m., and Sunday from 12:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
