Let’s Eat Out free summer concert series kicks off June 21

by | Jun 15, 2015 | 0 comments

The food cart coalition, Let’s Eat Out!, has announced plans for a free, three-part summer concert series at Burr Jones Field on June 21st, June 28th, and July 5th. The concert series will feature some of the best local & regional musical talent, as well as great local beer and food. The group chose the location and dates to draw attention to the site of a new public market district set to break ground in the coming year, and to coincide with the MadCity Bazaar taking place adjacent to the concerts in the Fiore Shopping Center parking lot. “Much like the new Public Market will highlight all that this City and region has to offer, our concert series is a celebration of the great musical talent, beer and food in our area,” notes Associate Director and event organizer Jessica Wartenweiler.

Performers include up-and-coming artists Dolores, The Sharrows, The Family Business, and many others, along with more established acts rooted in the Madison music scene such as Natty Nation and The Mustache. Each date will kick-off with a free community yoga class and feature other highlights such as a Mad Rollin’ Dolls exhibition bout slated for June 21st and Isthmus Bubble Soccer mini-matches on June 28th and July 5th. Please see our website for a complete line-up.

The series is a fundraiser for Let’s Eat Out!, with all proceeds benefiting the group’s charitable work including its neighborhood dinner program and food cart internship program. For more information regarding Let’s Eat Out!’s charitable work, please see: www.letseatoutwi.org/support-leo.html.

Let’s Eat Out! is a coalition of over 25 independently owned Madison-based food carts. The organization’s mission is to promote and advocate for the success of local mobile food entrepreneurs while bringing neighborhoods together and expanding access to local food.
