FORGE Poetry & Performance Slam
April 20 @ 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm
* Is LGBTQ hosted
* Has LGBTQ content
* May be of interest to the LGBTQ community
Do you write poetry? Create visual art? Play music? Are you looking for a space to share your work? Maybe you’ve never shared your art before. . . We welcome trans-specific content, as well as any other topics that move you, issues you are passionate about, and expressions that share more about who you are.
Join FORGE for a Poetry and Performance Slam at our monthly meeting on April 20th, 2019. Come share your story, your words, your music, and your art!
FORGE will hold a welcoming space for all of us to mingle with kindred spirits and build community by sharing pieces of ourselves through whatever art form we choose. No need to read or perform – there is ample room for attentive listeners to cheer on those who wish to share.
We’ll provide the space and light refreshments – you bring yourself and your amazing artwork!
If you know in advance that you would like to share your work, please consider RSVP’ing in advance by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or calling 414-559-2123 x4. Please tell us what kind of art you plan to share and if you anticipate any special setup.
Everyone is welcome to attend even if you aren’t able to RSVP!
Remember that FORGE is now meeting at Independence First. Please note that because so many of Independence First clients (like FORGE participants) have chemical sensitivities, this will be a scent-free meeting. Please avoid using products that are scented.
Plenty of free parking is available, and the new site is on the Green and 15 bus lines. Join us!
