Marketing: It’s Not Just for Capitalists! is part of the upcoming Flourish! creative development series hosted by ArtWrite Collective.
Facilitators for each workshop will be announced over the coming weeks. Sliding scale donations ($10-$50) are requested to attend a workshop and help to cover facilitator fees, venue, and educational materials. Art is an essential part of any community. Through art we know who we are and what our concerns, values, and priorities should be. Despite the importance of art, artists are often asked to work for free, work at or below minimum wage, or to work when only the cost of their materials is covered. As artists, we need to know how to advocate for our legal, financial, and social interests.
Flourish! is a program designed to empower artists, writers, and performers by providing workshops about fair pricing, intellectual property, and how to navigate biases in the art world. Come learn with us and join a community of artists who are engaged, empowered, and ready to shape our communities for the better.
