May Bird Walk – Governers Island

Welcome to the Madison Wisconsin Feminist Bird Clubs’s March event! We are a bird watching club dedicated to promoting diversity in birding and providing a safe opportunity to connect with the natural world while fundraising to protect the rights of LGBTQIA+ folks, women, and people of color.

Whether you are just getting started birdwatching or have years of experience, all levels are welcome. Join us as we explore the shores of Lake Mendota for summer migrants, waterfowl, and more!

What to bring:

Binoculars and a scope if you have them. We will have several scopes on hand for people to share. If you have a scope, please consider bringing it. Please message or email us if you need binoculars so we can provide you with some.

We plan to hold this event rain or shine!

In the event of hazardous conditions we will cancel and notify you no later than Tuesday evening, 5/6/2020 at 6:00PM over Facebook.
