Cameron, two skilled artists. This special occasion will provide visitors with the opportunity to meet the artists and purchase works of ar. This event is a must for appreciators of unique, artful jewelry or refined sculpture, with an artist demonstration on Saturday, certain to fascinate visitors.
The Museum Store Trunk Show will take place Friday, April 8, from 4 to 9 pm, and Saturday, April 9, from 10 am to 2 pm and will feature:
Kay Rashka
Hand-wrought sterling and fine silver serve as a backdrop and sculptural foundation for each design. Kay incorporates movement, textures, and color into wearable, functional art wear.
Clarence P. Cameron
Clarence creates original owl sculptures using soapstone. He strives to capture their spirit in realistic or abstract representations.
The Trunk Show is one highlight of a weekend-long celebration with several special events. The community is invited to celebrate the anniversary of the museum’s founding and achievements as the oldest cultural organization in Madison. Additionally, 2016 marks the 10th year of the iconic museum building on State Street, which was made possible by the extraordinary generosity of W. Jerome Frautschi, a long-time friend of the arts in Madison and former board member of the museum. The weekend-long celebration will include a special MMoCA Nights reception, talks, tours, and family activities, in addition to the Trunk Show. See all the details below in this updated schedule.
