Theatrical Tendencies is thrilled to present the Southeastern Wisconsin Premiere of SOME MEN by four-time Tony Award winner Terrence McNally, directed by Tt’s Artistic Director Mark E. Schuster. SOME MEN is McNally at his best. Alternately hilarious, painful, and sexy, SOME MEN presents a kaleidoscope of gay characters set within some of the events that bent the arc of gay history in America. Our cast will play over four dozen characters whose stories parallel, and whose histories are linked. Scenes are set in a piano bar in 1969 during Stonewall, in St. Vincent’s at the height of the AIDS crisis, and on a beach in the Hamptons in the 1920s and again 75 years later. There is also a scene set in an Internet chat room, another in a bathhouse, and many other locations which provide the texture to our lives. The play begins and ends with a contemporary gay wedding, relating interconnecting stories of generations of gay men in New York City. By simply being true to  themselves and living their lives with honesty and pride, all of these men have proved that society can be changed and acceptance is possible. Through their honesty these everyday
men have become our heroes.

SOME MEN runs Friday and Saturday Nights April 29 – May 14, 2016.
All performances are at 8:00pm.
An Opening Night Reception complete with complimentary ‘wedding cake’ and champagne follows the April 29th performance.

Tickets are $20.00 and available at www.theatricaltendencies.com.

Performances are at Soulstice Theatre, 3770 S. Pennsylvania Ave in St. Francis just a few blocks southwest of Bay View.

SOME MEN is the second McNally play to be staged at Theatrical Tendencies in its six seasons, following their critically acclaimed production of CORPUS CHRISTI in 2011.   Tt strives to present “INclusive theatre with a passion for OUTstanding storytelling”.
