Trans Rights Law Panel

November 22, 2019 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Friends! *Lovers* ! ‘Sconnies! Lend me your ears! Q-Law is hosting a panel to discuss the rights of transgender individuals under the law in the state of Wisconsin. The panel will be held on November 22nd at the Old Sugar Distillery.

You will also hear from a UW alum who has authored an amicus brief on LGBT rights under Title VII. He will discuss how the Supreme Court is approaching the question of federal legal protections for Trans and non-binary folks under federal anti discrimination acts. Our panelists will be able to speak as activists and professionals on whether the law is moving in the right direction for trans people. They also will share their lived experiences to detail what happens when the law doesn’t include transgender people.

SO…
If you like bougie cocktails, very tired law students, incomparable activists, wildly accomplished queer women and non-binary folks, and equal rights for Transgender people come kick off the beginning of the Thanksgiving break with us!
