This event: Is LGBTQ hosted, May be of interest to the LGBTQ community || The Feminist Bird Club will be meeting up at the UW Arboretum Visitor’s Center at 6 PM on March 25th to look and listen for Woodcock and Wilson’s Snipe. Every spring Woodcock and Snipe return to the Arboretum to breed. Once the sun goes down, they put on impressive ariel displays and make weird sounds. Whether you are just getting started birdwatching or have years of experience, all levels are welcome. This event is free, as is parking and entrance to the Arboretum.
The Feminist Bird Club is a birdwatching club dedicating to promoting diversity in birding by creating a safe and inclusive environment for everyone to connect with the natural world. Our fundraising supports the rights of historically underserved communities including LGBTQIA+ folks, women and people of color. We host monthly guided bird walks and always provide extra binoculars for folks to use during our walks. || Free
