MADISON, WI USA (August 16, 2016) — The inaugural Lady Laughs Comedy Festival is set to  rock Madison with laughter. The three day festival will feature female comedians from all over  the country and beyond. But not to worry, the guys have a chance to make us laugh, too, in the He’s Not A Lady: All Male Showcase. The festival will feature stand up, improv, storytelling, sketch comedy and more.

Lady Laughs is the first festival of its kind in Madison and was created to foster women in the  comedic arts. “One of the first shows I performed in when I move to the Midwest from Los  Angeles was an all women’s show. I was amazed and inspired by the camaraderie and support  that everyone had for each other and I decided that I wanted to ‘live’ in that space,” said Dina  Nina Martinez, the creator of the festival. She continues to say that the festival emerged from  the deep desire to showcase talented women and to show the world how brilliant and amazing  “we” are.

The festival is incredibly inclusive and welcoming of all female identified individuals. It will  feature a revisit of Alphabet Soup Comedy (LGBTQ+ show that ran at Plan B for a year and a  half), The DNM Show Live (a live panel talk show) and so much more. LLCF is looking to bring in a major headliner and details will be forthcoming as will ticket information. Corporate  sponsorships are still available.
