The Madison Symphony Orchestra (MSO) Board recently elected new officers, directors, and advisors for the 2016-17 Season. The Board consists of 39 elected directors serving 3-year terms, plus several ex-officio directors, who also have voting privileges. Former University of Wisconsin-Madison Chancellor John Wiley completed his three-year term as the president of the MSO Board at the June 14 meeting, and was honored with a $1,000 contribution in his name to the Podium Endowment, which is a permanent fund that provides ongoing support of the MSO Music Director’s position.
