Madison Symphony Orchestra Board Announces New Officers, Directors, and Advisors

The Madison Symphony Orchestra (MSO) Board recently elected new officers, directors, and advisors for the 2016-17 Season. The Board consists of 39 elected directors serving 3-year terms, plus several ex-officio directors, who also have voting privileges. The following are the newly-elected officers, directors and advisors for the 2016-2019 seasons.

Officers: *indicates new

*President: Elaine Mischler, Physician, Health Care Strategist and Consultant with Mischler Consultants, LLC

Vice President: Gary Mecklenburg , Exec. Partner, Waud Capital Partners, Chicago; Retired Pres./CEO, Northwestern Mem. Hosp., Chicago

*Vice President: Jeffrey Ticknor, Managing Director, BMO Harris Bank

*Vice President: James Yehle, Vice-President, Findorff

Secretary: Mary Alice Wimmer, Retired Professor of Art/University of Wisconsin System

Treasurer: William Banholzer, University of Wisconsin Research Professor

First-Term Directors:

Charles Ford, Emeritus Professor of Surgery in the Division of Otolaryngology, UW Health

Jacqueline Rodman, Member of the Board, Madison Chapter of The Links, Inc.

New Advisors:

Brian Anderson, Attorney, DeWitt Ross and Stevens

Steve Reuhl, Financial Advisor, Morgan Stanley Wealth Management

New Director Emeritus:

Velma Ritcherson, Community Volunteer

Former University of Wisconsin-Madison Chancellor John Wiley completed his three-year term as the president of the MSO Board at the June 14 meeting, and was honored with a $1,000 contribution in his name to the Podium Endowment, which is a permanent fund that provides ongoing support of the MSO Music Director’s position.
