Sperling-Newton Receives Allies for Justice Award

(Madison, WI) The Law Center for Children & Families, 450 S. Yellowstone Drive, Madison, WI is pleased to announce that Judith Sperling-Newton, a founding partner of the law firm, received a 2014 Allies for Justice Award from the National LGBT Bar Association.

The award is given to attorneys who have “allied with the LGBT community and made noteworthy contributions to the struggle for civil rights and equality.”  She was recognized for her tireless efforts to better Wisconsin family law for LGBT families and for bringing attorneys together from around the country to improve legal services for LGBT families nationwide, as well as for her role as director of the American Academy of Assisted Reproductive Technology Attorneys and past president of the American Academy of Adoption Attorneys. Judy received the award in Boston at the American Bar Association’s Annual Conference this past August.
