Starting at2:00 PM, the crowd will be entertained by VO5 until such time that riders and crew join the staging area for the official start of this year’s closing ceremonies (around 3:00 PM). There also will be spoken word performances for LGBTQ youth, bubbles, face painting, side walk chalk and other festive activities to get the crowd in the mood to CELEBRATE!!! Christine Bellport is this year’s emcee. After welcoming everyone and acknowledging our presenting, corporate, and local in-kind sponsors, the program will continue with the drawing to select the raffle winner who will receive two travel vouchers and a $500 VISA gift card.

Eldonna Hazen, of First Congregational Church and ARCW Board Member, will address the crowd, reminding us all of the ACT ride values (Courage, Compassion, Commitment, and Community), welcoming Rider Zero, and playing tribute to all those we have lost. The closing ceremony will conclude with remarks by ACT 13 Co-Chairs Josh Siedschlag and Christopher Henry and ARCW staff and the presentation of a check representing the funds that this year’s ACT ride has raised; top individual and team fundraisers also will be recognized. After many heart-felt tears and embraces have been shared, Christine will announce the end of this year’s ACT ride and invite the crowd to join us next year for ACT 14!
